This roleplaying forum is dedicated to the web-series The Guild.
Here, you can create a character, and start rp through various threads.
Your character can be a member of the Knights of Good, or another guild group. It could be someone who works at CheesyBeards. Or a comic-con fan. Anyone you want!
Through threads you can play as your 'out of character' (I'll use Cyd as an example) and do anything form going shopping (as long as there's no raids on) to going on dates. Or you can be 'in character' (for Cyd, her in-character would be Codex), and as your character you can play through The Game.
If you want, you can play both at the same time - Being Cyd controlling Codex.
It sounds complicated, but when you get started, it'll make sense.

Out Of Character:
Unlike in other games, when OOC is mentioned, it isn't talking about the real world you, the person who has signed onto this proboards rp.
It is talking about the character you have created.
E.G. Cyd Sherman.
Cyd is the violinist, who works at cheesy beards and has an addiction to video. She is the OOC, she has signed up and created a character in 'The Game'.
In Character:
In this roleplaying board, IC doesn't just refer to the character you have created in this site.
When IC is mentioned here, it usually refers to a specifc character you have create.
E.G Codex
Cyd Sherman created a 'Game' account, and the character she created was 'Codex'.
Therefore Codex is the In Game character. When roleplaying on 'The Game' boards, it is this type of character you will be playing as.
Dating:
Unlike in other games, dating here has a few different meanings.
You can date OOC (as mentioned above this refers to someone like Cyd, or Herman, or Clara, etc). They can go on dates in places such as cheesy beards, the mall, or restaurants.
Or you can date IC (as mentioned above, this refers to Codex, Vork, Bladezz, etc) and go on quests together or spend time in the Guild hall in 'The Game' category.
